Werribee is the centre of the City of Wyndham, about 32 kilometres southwest of the Melbourne CBD, and it's one of the suburbs we cover most. The Princes Freeway runs straight past it in both directions, which is why Werribee is unusually well placed for airport work.
Of all Melbourne's major suburbs, Werribee is about as close to Avalon Airport as it gets — roughly 20 to 25 minutes down the freeway. For Jetstar flights out of Avalon, that makes a door-to-door transfer both quicker and simpler than any other option, especially at 5am with bags. Melbourne Airport is around 40 minutes the other way.
