Caroline Springs sits in the City of Melton, about 22 kilometres northwest of the CBD. It's one of the more established master-planned suburbs in the west — built around its lake, with CS Square at the centre and the Western Freeway a couple of minutes away.
That freeway access is why airport work from here is easy: Melbourne Airport is roughly 25 to 30 minutes via the Western Freeway and Ring Road. It's one of the shorter runs of any western suburb, and it makes early flights considerably less painful. Avalon is around 40 minutes.
